smart watch kick starter - Neptune
#2
It looks like a cool toy, but the problem is that it's too big for your wrist (especially for a girl), and too small to be a useful smartphone. Just because you CAN play Angry Birds or put a full virtual keyboard on something that fits onto your wrist doesn't mean that you SHOULD... It reminds me of some of the novelty features Samsung put on the S4 (or hell, even Siri) - it's cool for a week, but then you never use them again.

My guess is that smart watches are going to move more towards fitness-focused smartphone companions, rather than smartphone replacements. I like the idea of being able to check if I have messages or emails by glancing at my wrist instead of pulling out my phone, but I don't want to use it to actually read or sent messages. Except maybe using Siri. But I would like to replace my Fitbit, which we keep losing (or in my wife's case, running through the washing machine), with something more functional.
