I haven't laughed this hard in a very long time. Good stuff in here.

Heh I've seen this before. Bas Ruten is awesome. They really need him as the 3rd commentator for UFC

He's a pro wrestler? Be interesting to see how he fares in a cage match.

As much as people knock Pro Wrestling there is a lot there that teaches you how to actually fight. Sure the moves are choreographed but they still have to know what hurts so they don't do it accidentally. They have to know how to fall correctly (most fights end up on the ground, not fisticuffs). The basic idea for most submission moves is the same for Wrestling and UFC, UFC just applies them more.

It may be "fake" (I prefer scripted because the moves are real, they just don't hurt as much as one would think) but they technique is there and the ideas are valid.
The difference between me and every other asshole is that I know I am one.

Bas pretty much ruled Japanese King of Pancrase MMA for a couple of years. He fought both Shamrocks, both of whom competed in early UFC. Watched a bunch of his fights in grad school.
Moristans: err
