Global stock exchanges

Are any of you guys trading in international exchanges directly? Ive been investigating how to buy Geely motors, which is the China car company that bought Volvo from Ford. Im trying to stay away from ADR's on this one.

I talked to Etrade, who doesn't even have the ADR, and they pointed me to open another "Global" account that would allow for trading in foreign exchanges.

New ground for me.

I haven't - I usually go with ADRs, or more often just buy the whole country ETF. I'll be curious to hear how you get on.

I'm thinking of getting back more into emerging markets. I've been in all the BRIC countries in the past, but just in Brazil right now (thinking of dipping back into India and Russia). But some of the newer markets, like Chile, Indonesia, Columbia, Peru, and so on are looking even more interesting.
