Hello Purge guild!
Let me tell you a small story:
In beta, a good friend and I started a guild called Fury of the Horde. We quickly earned some good reputation since our focus was on maturity, friendship, etc.
When the game went retail, we went to Ner'zhul (one of the largest servers in WoW) and started the guild again. Within a month, we were the largest guild on the server, and we held this until recently. Our guild stayed extremely tight, even when we broke 300 members (eventually had 400).
"Why would you leave your server?" is probably the most obvious question to ask at this point. There are a variety of reasons, but let me summarize:
- Drama. The server became so large, and there were so many guilds that were MC/Onyxia focused, that the community fell apart.
- PvP. Most guilds are not PvP focused, so it became an endless grind for gear.
- Management. We spent a considerable amount of time managing the guild, and lost the ability to actually have fun in the game.
- Gear. We were honorable and fair to the detriment of ourselves. Drops went to members over leaders/officers and we ended up with next to nothing.
So, we made the decision to take a month to move to an RP server and make some alts. We have our alts up to low 30s, but we want to play the characters we invested so much time in, and so we decided to take advantage of the server move, and start somewhere without all the hassles.
Applicant Details:
Andal, a 60 Warlock, helped co-run the guild. She also, in real life, is my beautiful girlfriend of a few years, and is an incredible gamer. She loves to help everyone, and I'm sure that Zelant, a warlock in your guild, can attest that the minute she came on the server earlier this weekend, she offered to help him get his epic mount.
Pyrotek, an experienced Druid for over 2 years, has an extensive amount of experience. He is a quiet guy, and a good friend, and is an asset to every group. In every Molten Core run we have ever done, he always has the #1 position in healing (tracked w/ DamageMeter mod) out of a minimum of 12 healers.
GogoDodo, a 50 Priest, was addicted to alts for nearly 6 months. He recently pushed to get the Priest to higher level and can quickly reach 60 if necessary. He is laid back, but understands every class intuitevly.
Spinaldex, 60 Hunter, is my favorite class. I have a few level 30-40 characters, but I selected to play him because i could serve as a good leader by having a pristine view from the back of the party. I'm a leader at heart, and I'm focused on PvP. I use to spend 1.5 hrs a night dueling with my hunter. I also have Tranq shot already, which is a required spell for use against some mobs and the 2nd boss in Molten Core.
We understand your guild is primarily PvP focused. Since we come from a large PvP server, our skillset is no worry. However, Andal and Gogododo have not spend considerable time in the battlegrounds. They want to get more in to PvP, and so I would consider it a perfect move to be included within your membership.
As far as gear goes, we all have our top Blue end sets, and a few 60 purples. I'm not going to listen out all the gear, but for myself I prefer the DM set since it pushes me close to 25% crit, I use the Core Marksman Rifle, and switch between a Barbarous Blade, Arcanite Reaper, and a few dual wield PvP focused axes & daggers based on the scenario. We do not, however, have our complete end game (Tier 2 & 3) sets since we were a bit too generous to our membership.
If you are willing to consider our membership, let me propose the following:
If you have any room in your MC run this Tuesday, I would like those of us that are able to come across to run it with you so that you can get to know us. We will not roll on any items, or acrue DKP as it is an interview process. If your membership recognize us as valuable players, then hopefully we can join your guild and be an asset to your new PvE venture.
Thank you for your time
