Hello Purge guild!

Let me tell you a small story:

In beta, a good friend and I started a guild called Fury of the Horde. We quickly earned some good reputation since our focus was on maturity, friendship, etc.
When the game went retail, we went to Ner'zhul (one of the largest servers in WoW) and started the guild again. Within a month, we were the largest guild on the server, and we held this until recently. Our guild stayed extremely tight, even when we broke 300 members (eventually had 400).
"Why would you leave your server?" is probably the most obvious question to ask at this point. There are a variety of reasons, but let me summarize:

- Drama. The server became so large, and there were so many guilds that were MC/Onyxia focused, that the community fell apart.
- PvP. Most guilds are not PvP focused, so it became an endless grind for gear.
- Management. We spent a considerable amount of time managing the guild, and lost the ability to actually have fun in the game.
- Gear. We were honorable and fair to the detriment of ourselves. Drops went to members over leaders/officers and we ended up with next to nothing.

So, we made the decision to take a month to move to an RP server and make some alts. We have our alts up to low 30s, but we want to play the characters we invested so much time in, and so we decided to take advantage of the server move, and start somewhere without all the hassles.

Applicant Details:

Andal, a 60 Warlock, helped co-run the guild. She also, in real life, is my beautiful girlfriend of a few years, and is an incredible gamer. She loves to help everyone, and I'm sure that Zelant, a warlock in your guild, can attest that the minute she came on the server earlier this weekend, she offered to help him get his epic mount.

Pyrotek, an experienced Druid for over 2 years, has an extensive amount of experience. He is a quiet guy, and a good friend, and is an asset to every group. In every Molten Core run we have ever done, he always has the #1 position in healing (tracked w/ DamageMeter mod) out of a minimum of 12 healers.

GogoDodo, a 50 Priest, was addicted to alts for nearly 6 months. He recently pushed to get the Priest to higher level and can quickly reach 60 if necessary. He is laid back, but understands every class intuitevly.

Spinaldex, 60 Hunter, is my favorite class. I have a few level 30-40 characters, but I selected to play him because i could serve as a good leader by having a pristine view from the back of the party. I'm a leader at heart, and I'm focused on PvP. I use to spend 1.5 hrs a night dueling with my hunter. I also have Tranq shot already, which is a required spell for use against some mobs and the 2nd boss in Molten Core.

We understand your guild is primarily PvP focused. Since we come from a large PvP server, our skillset is no worry. However, Andal and Gogododo have not spend considerable time in the battlegrounds. They want to get more in to PvP, and so I would consider it a perfect move to be included within your membership.

As far as gear goes, we all have our top Blue end sets, and a few 60 purples. I'm not going to listen out all the gear, but for myself I prefer the DM set since it pushes me close to 25% crit, I use the Core Marksman Rifle, and switch between a Barbarous Blade, Arcanite Reaper, and a few dual wield PvP focused axes & daggers based on the scenario. We do not, however, have our complete end game (Tier 2 & 3) sets since we were a bit too generous to our membership.

If you are willing to consider our membership, let me propose the following:

If you have any room in your MC run this Tuesday, I would like those of us that are able to come across to run it with you so that you can get to know us. We will not roll on any items, or acrue DKP as it is an interview process. If your membership recognize us as valuable players, then hopefully we can join your guild and be an asset to your new PvE venture.

Thank you for your time Wink

I had an extensive chat with Spinaldex last night. I am definatley all for them entering our guild. I already posted in Andal's applications.

Although we pride outselves in the PvP aspect of the game, someone knowlegeable and capable of helping in the Molten Core runs, and beyond, can only benefit those of us that also play for the PvE end of the game.

These people have my vote through and through. Being tranferees as well, we know very well where they're coming from. Spineldex's post sounds very simimilar to that of one of Zimjins posts when we first made the transfer.

Spending time together in Molten Core tomorrow would be the perfect opportunity to see how well the personalities mesh. Not only for us, but for all of them as well.

I'm really a "nobody" in this great guild, but want to say welcome to Crushridge. I'm going to make my first run to MC (60 Warlock, Iluyzhat) on the 9th and if you guys do come, well IMHO, I'd say you have every reason to roll on drops that everyone else will have, although that's not up to me.
Regardless, I look forward to seeing you all in game (bring Taco's!!!!!)

Bah Luy! your mom jokes are legendary.

Back on topic though, welcome to crushridge. I pretty much mirror Hoku's sentiment here. I definately wish you all luck, and hope to see you in game soon.

i really like this app. Some background, an intro, and enough extra information to give an idea of who they are, but not enough to become a penis-waving contest Smile

well written! Smile

You guys sound good on paper! Let's get you involved in game.

Applications are reviewed based on recommendations from our members. That's how we do things. Friends of friends =)

WELL 8)

i only have a few things to say, first of all im glad you guys decided to apply... and (ditto) to hokus post, but by far most i believe form waht ive seen and heard(chat) i believe a reveiw is in order, not that im anyone special in guild to make those types of decisions.

Yes first time i talk to andal i was in Ogrimmar which some of u might remember i was having a difficult time doing my epic warlock mount quest, but with her advice and veiw on the quest i found alote of helpful hints and good run down of the quest(she helped me a shit load!).

I have talked to spindal and andal both and i find them to be really nice people and think they would fit in perfect with are guild, and be a big asset in the upcoming raids we will be taking in on as purge. As much of a PVP guild we are i still think better armor/more exp. raiding with one another cant hurt while we own crushridge on the side.

For Tuesday raid im so regretfully saying i will not be able to attend Sad Sad due to work my boss is walking on a tight rope and needs someone to catch him if he falls, so anyways i wish everyone the best of luck and hope everything goes smooth.

Without further adue i close this with saying hope everyone gets to know spin/andal/and the freinds hes standing by and gives them a chance.

WELCOME TO CRUSHRIDGE, add/PM me in game for anything.

First, welcome to Crushridge! I hope that, regardless of which guild you decide to call home, you have an enjoyable stay here and are able to fulfill your future goals of Killin' Lighty!

Second, thank you kindly for such a well thought-out post describing yourselves. You sound like a good bunch, and I look forward to meeting you all in game.

The Purge is definitely a PvP guild. We do not cross-team, and we do not help the enemy. "If it's red, it's dead," is very cliche, but it is the basis of The Purge. If a red tag appears on the horizon, 99% of the time we will drop what we are doing and chase it down. For the most part, we do not believe in "duels" with the enemy, so if we come across a fellow Horde fighting a Lighty, we will jump in to help regardless of whether the Horde needed help or if they were just "dueling."

Many of us raid the xp zones to constantly disrupt their leveling (we did it much more often before HKs and BGs came out), and to keep them confused, bitter, and paranoid. We have no qualms about taking the fight to them, and because of this, wearing The Purge tag means you will be targetted first, and more frequently, than others around you.

And of course the BGs - there are nightly guild WSG groups always going, and when possible, we try to field a Purge only or Purge & allies AV run (fun as hell!).

If you are looking for a PvP guild, you've come knocking on the right door.

I like your MC proposal. The reality is that we PvP so much that many of us are lacking in the gear department, and because skill without gear can only hold us for so long, upgrades are much needed. I would extend to you guys an invitation to join us in AV on Thursday as well. This way you can be a part of BG PvP Purge style.

Again, thanks for the intro post. Looking forward to meeting you all!
