Great years for stocks. Horrible year for me. ☺ Mostly due to the blatant and shameful global conspiracy against AAPL (which obviously should be worth at least $1000), I got taken out to the woodshed, beaten with a rubber tube, kneecapped, and shot in the back of the head (not to mention losing my house to Jake).

Here’s how the various markets did. Bad year to be in anything but equities. Should have just gone all in with TNA...

Code:
S&P 500                 29.60%
DOW                     26.50%
NASDAQ                  38.30%
Russell 2000            37%
Home prices             13.60%
Bonds (average fund)    -2.00%
VIX                     -23.90%
Gold                    -28%
Silver                  -36%
Oil                     7%
Nat Gas                 25%
TNA                     144.41%
Netflix                 295.60%
Apple                   8.06%
Facebook                105.80%
Google                  58.55%
Amazon                  58.87%
Tesla                   344%
Bank of America         34.50%
Microsoft               44.34%

My 401k                           24.80%
My options trading account        -65.33%
My Stock trading account          -3.08%

The Russel 2k kicked my ass a little. The market did better than I did, since I had several bets on corrections that never happened. Howerver, my 401k and Roth funds did extremely well.

Big winners for me:

1 Year gains:

HIMX 408.24%
FAS up 105.62%
C 25.92%
PGH 21% (but down big overall for me)

Big losers:

NEM -49%
SLV -33.5%
GLD -27.7%

But my favorite has to be my son's college fund:

POAGX 54.88%

It's top holding is PCYC which has gone up 13231% in the past 5 years. I'm sure that helped.

401k: +25.4%
IRA: +18.4%
Personal: +13.1%

Of course this is based on Fidelity's personal rate of return calculation which I have no idea how they actually calculate it. If anyone knows let me know.

Yeah, I counted on Fidelity's report for my 401k, and Etrade's report for my trading accounts. I wouldn't be surprised if they lean towards the positive - after all, they want to keep your business. I guess they couldn't find a way to put lipstick on my -66% option trading account pig (actually my Roth IRA), though. :)
