Three games in development that I am following;

Life is Feudal: http://lifeisfeudal.com/
A "sandbox" game with CRpG style combat, full drop, crafting, structure construction etc.

Greed Monger: http://www.greedmonger.com/
A "sandbox" game with "realistic" style combat, full drop, crafting, structure construction etc.

Both look interesting, I am leaning towards Life is Feudal, due to its CRpG directional combat system, better graphics and full sandbox components. However, Greed Monger also has some very wicked concepts and may be more "agressive" as a game overall. Just have to try them to see.

Also in other news:

The Shadowbane Emulator has recently went to Open Beta; the final stage to full release. Its a community project that has been ongoing for several years and is finally set to start soon. It will be totally free to play and was/is one of the best PvP / Seige combat games ever. Ruthless and cut-throat, though dated for mechanics, this game was very fun. If interested check out the link and ask me any questions. I still have character "builds" saved for elite level specs for various classes. Though it looks like your standard MMO, its not at all.

Mini-Games: Here is the link to the in-game mini-games that can be used as a part of the crafting system in LIF.

You can choose to play the mini games OR set the crafting which you are doing to "auto"; Auto is a bit slower and yields lesser quality products based on your characters skill, Mini-Game is slightly faster and if you do well, will yield more amounts and better quality products.

Here is the cool thing; Not only can you play the Mini-Games on your Tablet / Smart-Phone etc... your friends can access your Mini-Games (without having to enter your password to access your account: you give them a link to the mini-game on your account that they can safely access) and play your crafting mini-games for you. Then, when you get home, you just logg on and get what they have produced for you.

Link to the Mini-Games (yes, you can play them now, no download.): http://lifeisfeudal.com/All-minigames-in-one
