Who would you rather have on your side in a bar fight or follow into battle. John Wayne, Dirty Harry or some babbling cry baby sobbing in his oatmeal.
That is the only question you need to answer when writing for a show about the human race trying to survive.
If you chose the babbling sobbing oatmeal guy that is a reflection of just how out of touch and girly the writers are.
