meh, the pendulem swings, and I think we've gone a tad too dramatic. John Wayne is a cardboard cutout. Swearengen was absolutely an AMAZING character with incredible depth, but I'd bet the guy wouldn't even eat a bowl of cereal let alone cry in one. Who says stiocism leads to shallow characters? Perhaps stoic is a misleading word as well. Really all I'm looking for is a dynamic, non-little-bitch, intellegent bad-ass. Thats not too much to ask.
Oh hey James Bond... The Sean connery version, or even Daniel Craig... maybe even moreso the latter.
