There is no over use of T&A or foul language.. Only one "steamy" scene with Kirk and another cadet. But it is short and tasteful.

No real traumatic scenes or gross violence. If he was okay through Star Wars, he should be in good shape for this movie. It is more geared for Adults than the Star War's movies however. So there may not be as much that appeals to him. But there are few chars and moments I think he will enjoy. Plus who doesn't like Lasers and PewPew space fights? ILM does an awesome job with the special effects and space scenes.



PS: I agree about the Time Travel. I like how the Time Travel helped sell this movie to a broader fan base, but am sick of Time Travel being used in stories. Star Trek usually being the worst when it comes to applying it. Though this movie was probably their best attempt to date.

I've set the bar pretty low for what I actually censor Aaron from. The occasional boob or short intimate scene doesn't concern me. On screen violence as well doesn't concern me as long as it's not too graphic in nature like excessive torture. I make point of teaching him the difference between screen violence and real violence. I'm more concerned with the action. Does it flow well? Are there long stretches that may lose his attention?
