Does anyone know when the XBOX started shipping with internal WiFi? I can see now that the base (199$ 4gb) XBox 360 on the web site has built-in WiFi.
I ask because I want to buy an old xbox from somone so that I can get the one that comes with component output cables (for my older HD TV that doesn't have the HDMI input) but I want to also make sure it has WiFi so I can us it as a media center extender.

And since that "someone" is me, I just went down to the basement and check - it definitely doesn't have built-in wifi. I seem to remember I had it hooked up to my wifi extender box in the old house...haven't used it since I moved here.
If you end up getting a second-hand one without wifi, let me know - I don't need the wifi extender anymore, I don't think.
