It looks like Newegg is clearing out stock of their Samsung 830 series SSDs in anticipation of the upcoming 840 series. If anyone is interested they have their 830 256 GB on sale for $159.99 + free shipping with the promo.

I have a couple of the 830 256 GBs and they are pretty sweet. Pretty sure this is the cheapest price I've seen on them. Keep in mind this isn't the "kit" so it doesn't come with the mounting bracket or cables. You'll need to buy the mounting bracket separately if your case doesn't have a built-in mount for 2.5" SSDs.
I doubt they will keep these in stock for long.

my SSD is just lying in the bottom of my case. it's not like it has moving parts inside that are sensitive to vibration.
maybe if it got hot while running I might feel compelled to get brackets so I could mount it in a drive bay with a fan blowing across it, but it doesn't so I don't.
