Insurgency - New shooter on Steam - grizzle - 01-27-2014
Just for giggles I picked up a new FPS game on Steam called Insurgency. The graphics aren't great, but good enough, some of the weapon models are skewed, a bit buggy in places, and a little learning curve for the loadout menu, but so far is a ton of fun. It reminds me of CounterStrike, but with larger and more complex maps, and more sneaking instead of bunny hopping. Right now the mainstream hackers have not invaded (though there are a few roaming around), so it allows for old fashioned camping - hiding in a dark corner and picking off opponents as they run past. Or that tense feeling of sneaking around trying to spot someone before they spot you.
It's $14 on Steam, and, at least until the mass hackers invade, I'd highly recommend it.

it used to be a half life 2 mod. wasnt that great as a free mod, prob not very good even at $15
