VZ - Zirak - 05-14-2009

So, after all these years I run into folks again from the old VZ days on EQ running around in the world of Warhammer. The folks I ran with as a member of the HeCK alliance are mostly off playing Vanguard these days. It's been fun to reminisce a bit about the old days every now and then in Vent while killing Destro.

Zirak, aka Thanoslug - Paladin of Giliath Lang on EQ

Hah. I never knew you played on VZ. Yeah theres a bunch of us here. Most of the VZ community seems to have fractured into two or three splinter groups. There's us, the prophet segment, and I think one other largish community.

There's a lot of hold HeCKers around here if I recall correctly.

- 1000xZero - 05-15-2009

LOL I did not know you were Thanoslug...

Most of The Purge came from VZ.

Nuda Veritas - ERG aka Elven Royal Guard
Telez - Crimson Praetorian

VZ ftw!

- Karne - 05-19-2009

That's great Z!

I helped form the HECK alliance as one of the guild leaders of Crucible of Shadows way back when. I was Karne the barbarian rogue at the time. Sadly, I didn't stick around long after that.

Cool. You know, I honestly don't recall what all the guilds in the alliance were when I stopped playing anymore. I think there were 4 guilds but I can only recall the names of 3 of them.

- GreenTurnip - 05-20-2009

If memory serves...

Humble House
Emerald Defenders
Crucible of Shadows
Knights of Vallon

Or was it a different K?

I think Knights of Vallon was definitely one of them. I know Crucible helped form HECK, but I think HECK continued after our guild folded. So not sure who was there at the end of it...

- Zirak - 05-20-2009

I believe HECK was originally CECK - there were two C's. It became HECK when the Last Humble House joined and, apparently, one of the C's left or had already left. By the time Giliath Lang joined the alliance had been HECK for a while so the name stayed even after future changes to the roster of guilds. When I stopped playing the guilds were Last Humble House, Giliath Lang, Knights of Vallon, and I believe there was at least one other guild but don't recall - much as I am in Warhammer, I didn't pay a lot of attention to the guild tags of people in the alliance.

When Emerald Defenders left to form Zephyros we just changed HECK to HeCK.

Dam lighties.

Re: VZ - Rallick - 09-04-2009

I remember Thanoslug! Been a long time since I seen the name on a monitor though Smile

Unfortunately I've actually taken a back seat to MMO's lately and have been enjoying L4D.

And. Yes that is pretty much the breakdown of the Alliance at the time. Being a Leader of Emerald Defenders at one point during the whole creation of it.

The originals were:

Code of Honor ©
Emerald Defenders (E)
Crucible of Shadows ©
Knights of Valon (K)

Crucible folded and we got The Last Humble House (H)

After that it all merged into Zephyros and some stayed in HECK like mentioned. I had forgotten about Giliath Lang actually. I had already joined Defiant by that time though.
