It rained here for about 5 days straight. It was relentless. Monday was the worse. We peaked at rates of 2 inches an hour. Some areas reported up to 20" of rain during that 5 day period.

Is your neighborhood ok?

On the bright side....at least everyone can stop worrying about the shellfish or mussels or whatever it was that everyone was arguing over about water release levels from the reservoirs.

So I guess the drought is over?

Re: North Georgia/Atlanta Floods - Thudz - 09-23-2009

I believe the drought was over earlier this Summer. We've had good rain this year overall. My heighborhood is fine, I live on the rich side of town and we build our homes on top of hills around here.

Glad to hear Thudz. Although, if you were in Cali and lived with up in the hills, chances are your house would burn down in the Summer brush fires, or slide down the hills in the winter rains (if we ever get those again).
