Game isn't due out til the end of September, but the demo is available.
It's a single player game very similar to Dungeon Keeper, except this time it's modern day and you're an Evil Genius.
The demo doesn't let you do the cool stuff, but it does demonstrate that they changed the one thing that most annoyed me in the Dungeon Keeper games: combat.
In DK, you could set up alarms and traps and so forth, but if you wanted your minions to fight in any worthwhile fashion, you had to pick them up and drop them on the battle. It sort of negates the whole coolness factor of setting up an intricate dungeon if your minions are too stupid to defend it.
In EG, you never directly control your minions. Rather than dragging them into combat, you can tag a target and say you want it killed, and minions that spot him will do it. Set your base to red alert and they'll scurry around looking for someone to shoot. In the full game you can apparently set up control rooms, security cameras, loudspeakers, traps, etc, and your minions will automatically respond to threats.
Much better.
It's a shame the demo is so limited, but I can already tell I'll have to get this game when it comes out.
