Ok so now I feel a little old, but proud as hell. 3.5 years, and she is done for now. On to grad school after she finishes a stint with peace core for year.....

She should have been responsible and stretched it out another semester or two like me... Smile

Yeah, you're old.

It only took me 8.5 years of partying to get my bachelors. Good for her for 3.5.

Peace Corp, good for her again. I wish I would have done it. I seriously considered it, was set to go in my mind and felt great about it, then I remembered I had two dogs... Doh.

I worked with a guy who had just gotten back from doing it in Bulgaria. He had a great time. And you know how they say, "Peace Corp: The hardest job you'll ever love." He said Peace Corp people say it's actually, "Peace Corp: The easiest job you'll never understand." He said it was fun, but at least for him it was really unorganized and he didn't do much actual work. But he did come back with a smoking hot eastern european wife who was also a medical doctor. Not sure that's what you're hoping for with your daughter, though.

Haha my buddy in peace corps had to go to Botswana and deliver aids babies - Sofia ain't Paris but its not Africa either - i'd go for that assignment..

Although for a daughter, not so much - not much demand for scummy eastern european husbands in western families I imagine Smile

My friend has worked/lived in Sofia for going on 7 years now. He's actually home right now for a visit. He loves it, there is a large ex-pat community. He married some Bulgarian chick there and got divorced 6 months later, lol.

He said it's a good place to be a fuckoff, everything is cheap. Apparently Bulgaria is the European version of India for help desk support, because many Bulgarians speak multiple languages.

She will most likley be going to sub sahara Africa. It makes me nervious, but they are actually safer then the Americorp people who get thrown into urban America with no protection.

She speaks French so that makes it an Africa target.

I honestly fought her over this in high school and lost Smile Sometimes a father needs to pick his battles.
