Kubiak making that QB switch was bizarre. The home team was booing so loud they couldn't hear their own calls.

You know you are in trouble when you come back from a stroke and get soda's thrown at your booth.

Ya most Texans fans are tired of Schaub and Keenum is like Vince Young(just leaving college VY) lite when it comes to fan appreciation.

Some of the talking Heads are calling for Kubiaks job after he benched Keenum.

Yeah. The Texans had to go to the silent count because of all the booing. I was as pissed off as anyone but I can't say I would boo my own team.

What the hell did Kubiak say about the QB change?

That was the first time I have ever seen a home team not be able to get calls done in their home stadium.

By the way I am from the Bay area so I was watching the Raiders so that is why I saw this game. I really thought after the first half that young QB was going to beat us. We were only in it because of turnovers and we couldn't stop your offense until they brought Schaub in.

Kubiak was worried about the time on the clock and the fact that the Raiders were blitzing pretty much every play. He brought Schaub in to run no huddle and (this is where I am totally dumbfounded) thought that Schaub (who can't run and will throw the ball away or take a sack as soon as a defender gets within 5 feet of him) could handle the blitz. Did you notice once Schaub came into the game that the Raiders almost stopped blitzing and Schaub still intentionally grounded the ball (no call) and threw the ball away for no reason.

Keenum has issues with the blitz but he figures out that he has to get the ball to the quick slants asap he will be ok. In the 2nd half Keenum wasn't moving the ball that well and had 3 3-out punts in a row. But we couldn't run the damn ball. And it was only time before the Raiders defense started acting like the typical Raiders defense.

Strife, why do the pokes fuck with their fans and get their hopes up like that? At least the Texans let us know whats up from their first play.

/Schaubs first and last passes this season were picks.

I didn't realize his first pass was an int. Well, hopefully we don't do something stupid and draft Manziel with the first pick!

Cowboys fans didn't expect to win yesterday, but it's Steelers fans that should really be drowning in their sorrows. They didn't expect to win AND all 3 teams they needed to lose to lose, and after seeing the first 3 of 4 happen they got to watch the Chiefs bench all their starters and give up a game to the Chargers to evict the Steelers from the playoffs. Although the Steelers and the Cowboys did have one major thing in common. They would have been one and done in the playoffs..

I didn't even watch the Cowboys game, as soon as I realized Romo was out I figured the season was over with and watched something else.

As for the Texans... I'm expecting to hear that they either trade Schaub for basically nothing in return or cut him sometime before the draft. I guess it's countdown until we draft Bridgewater now...

Yeah one of the commentators on the Texans game as soon as the game was over said "And the Texans are now on the clock in the 2014 NFL draft".

As long as we don't do something stupid (which I don't think we will as I have been pretty happy for the most part with our picks.. Even Mario!) and draft Manziel, I will be happy.

His brother is in the draft(I think). I hope we draft Bridgewater. He seems like the obvious pick honestly. He's big and very accurate and is already running a pro style offense.

CBS already has their mock drafts in and they are showing us to take Bridgewater and Manziel going either 3rd or 5th. Carr's brother is projected to go 8th to the Vikings and be the 4th QB taken(Behind Bridgewater, Bortles and Manziel) on the CBS poll, even though they have him ranked as the #2 QB in the draft.

Their rankings have Jake Matthews as the overall #1 prospect in the draft, which is also an area of need for us(Offensive line)... so maybe we could go Matthews #1 and look to try and pick up McCarron in the 2nd round. That would make me pretty happy as well.

Granted mock drafts don't mean shit, but I think most of them have Bridgewater going #1.

There is also an awesome OL that is projected to go around the time of our 2nd round pick. I forget who it is but either way I think we stand a good chance of picking up a "franchise" (I use that term very loosely) QB and an upgrade on the OL.

BTW I completely forgot about David Carr. Thanks for reminding me of that misery. Ya jackass Sad

Since less than 30% of a draft class play beyond 3 years I think every draft choice has the potential to be David Carr until they prove otherwise.

What is kind of sad though is I think David Carr should hurt Derek Carr's draft position. I mean David Carr was an awesome college player and was drafted # 1 and was a total flop. Then his brother is an awesome college player and is projected to go in the top 10 and I have seen as high as #3 or #4. No way I would take anyone in that family in the first round..

Yea but for what it's worth... playing for the Texans probably ruined his career... Carr may have been a decent QB in the NFL if he had a O-line worth a fuck.

Well it looks like every coach on the coaching staff is out. I really hoped Phillips would stay.. Oh well. Crennel is no slouch for a DC..

meh, I thought Phillips should have stayed, I thought he did well for the most part as DC. The rest I expected to go (especially Dennison).
