But Google ARE a bunch of idea thieves.
I'm sure what grated the most was the betrayal by Schmidt, who sat on Apple's board soaking up all the secret iPhone plans, and passing them back to his boys at Google.
As for Xerox Parc, Apple paid Xerox in pre-IPO stock later worth millions to see their stuff. Xerox had the cool ideas, but had no clue what to do with it. Later, when the Mac became huge, Xerox tried to sue Apple and the case was thrown out of court because Apple has paid them for those concepts.
So Xerox had ideas (nothing more), and Apple turned it into a complete product. Later on, Microsoft completely ripped off Apple by copying the Mac interface for Windows. However...that was the fault of Apple's management after Jobs had been kicked out - they sold the rights to Bill Gates (idiots). So you can't say Microsoft stole it, as Apple gave them the keys to the kingdom.
Google outright stole what Apple had, and now their manufactures are paying the price for that. Despite everyone here saying these lawsuits are bullshit, the courts seem to disagree. Apple is winning their cases, and those brought in retaliation are being thrown out as having no merit.
Everyone in the tech industry knows Google stole the iPhone design. Google thought they could just buy Apple off later, but Jobs refused. Now they are in trouble, despite their market share. And I'd be willing to bet a lot of money that by the start of next year, iOS will be taking market share back from Android bigtime.
