I guess the big question is price point. How much more would the fanboys be willing to pay for a TV? We are talking about a very large purchase and will Apple be able to price these things at it's usual inflated price points? To me, it's also not a toy/impulse buy. A TV is a standard home purchase that has a long life so if people have already bought one recently, they aren't going to go out and get a new one just because it is Apple. I know I wouldn't.
I will say it makes sense since the TV manufacturers are still clueless about providing a complete experience and Apple is great at simplifying.
