[spoiler]Shes certainly more like her grandma in the series for the sake of combining characters, but her discussion with Cersei later on in the books (IIRC, been a while) and other issues make her not seem particularly innocent. She knows how to play the game and has been brought up to do so. I certainly got the feeling that she wasn't as vapid as Sansa is to start before she starts becoming smart..[/spoiler]
Its not like in the series she wanted to include Loras for some kinky bullshit, she was doing it out of political ruthlessness. Not sure how that could be taken hedonistically, nor considering how Nobles acted historically would it be outside the realm of reality that much.
Sure, HBO sexes things up, but this stuff is far less silly than the overdoing it with the sexposition scenes in Season 1. And the source material is hardly non sexual - a brother nailing his menstruating sister on a church alter? Something tells me lena headey isn't going to do that one...
