I read somewhere there won't be an option to buy an advertising-free version, but that could have been wrong - I know the older Kindles had that issue.
I just don't like advertising. It's one thing to have billboards up in the airport, but another to have it in your face in the device you own. I never watch advertising on TV - DVR everything so I can fast forward through it.
