I will agree that the worst part of the Darth Maul fight was that end bit where Obi-Wan jumped over him while Maul looked on frozen and slack-jawed. But everything else was pretty cool, from the music to the choreography to the initial reveal of Maul in the elevator following by the double bladed saber.
I liked the fights in the OT. They weren't hyper-kinetic gymnastics displays, but for me they came across more as mental than physical battles. George obviously had to do something different in the prequels to distinguish them.
And yeah, there are plenty of hokey lines in the OT ("laser brain", "nerf-herder"), but overall the script and direction were 100X better, and the characters had warmth and chemistry, unlike the stilted delivery in the prequels. I felt the same way about the original Star Trek vs TNG as well, although TNG was still way superior to the prequels.
