Yup, genius doctor, surgically altered telepath, preacher who is clearly some elite ex assassin, high class call girl, savant mechanic that can repair spaceships with no real training.. just the types of people you meet on the street every day!

Seriously though, SHIELD is a top secret multinational agency that deals with superhumans, I would think they kinda hire above average employees. I mean Black Widow is one of their field agents in this continuity.
