Most of those had narrative points, Making Sansa up to be a character with actual agency - which she isnt yet in the books - for half a season and then just topping her down and having her raped in order to make Theon have a breakthrough, especially after last years debacle with the Jamie and Cersi ("It was consensual") rape scene that caused the outstir, is either poor narrative ability or just trying to court controversy to get more attention.
I'm not upset about it - but I see why some people think it wasn't the wisest choice.
