That was to the upper chest. The rule is meant to keep guys from throwing a 'bow to the grill. For a forward, that was a love tap, especially from a shooting guard like Kobe. Artest (one of the nicer guys in the NBA :roll
is trying to win an Academy award after getting out-positioned by a pansy. If Artest gets called for a foul on that like he should have, play would have stopped long before Kobe throws the 'bow. Instead, play continued, and Kobe did what he had to do to make the play.
