Trouble connecting to purge site.

Wondering if anyone has an answer to this.

On my desk top computer each time I try to pull up the purge.net site I just get a black white screen.

I can still pull it up fine on iPad and other devices.

Any ideas?

Do you go straight to the forums (<!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href="http://thepurge.net/forum/index.php">index.php</a><!-- l -->) or actually to the front page (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://thepurge.net">http://thepurge.net</a><!-- m -->)?

Although I don't see why either would fail to work. The front page is just plain HTML with a clicky image.

Unless it just doesn't like loading the image. It IS a PNG. Maybe I should have made it JPG.

It's a link to the purge.net address.

It was working fine a week ago and I think I did an update on some programs and it must have stopped working. Now even if I manually put in the purge.net address I just get a blank white screen. I tried deleting all the saved cookies and such but no help.

I don't know if it's related, but I used to get a certificate error if I tried to go to https://thepurge.net/forum -- there was a certificate, but it was for some other site (I don't remember the name, something.info I think. or maybe .biz).

I just tried it again and now it doesn't work at all -- before I at least had the option to proceed despite the certificate mismatch.

I just get an SSL error if I try to use "https". I don't know that we have such a thing. (*I* certainly didn't do anything to set up a secure connection. I dunno what's even involved in that.)

Tried IE and the Google Chrome and no luck.

Then I just deleted the crap I didn't recognize that was loaded when I updated and it worked again. Go figure.

My company now blocks access to this site, siting it is flagged as gaming.... Course they have recently implemented some aggressive filtering policies. Cant even go to a restaurant site because its related to alcohol sales.....

yep, mine started blocking it last week as well, which mine has always blocked "Gaming" but for whatever reason, this site finally got flagged as gaming.

Bach, try clearing cookies, history, cache, everything, from all your browsers, reboot, and see if that helps.
