Joining the guild
#1
Hi, I have spoken to Voojinn, and Foerunner about myself and some other joining The Purge, we are all ex-iNPhase members and it is important to us for us all to be in the same guild together, The Purge was our number one choice on guilds to join, I was told to post on this forum so everyone can check it out and see what they think about us all joining. Thanks

Hey Stewy, glad you decided to stop by and give us a look. I can't speak for the others that Stewy has mentioned because I'm not sure who that includes so far, but I've had some dueling and gaming experience with Stew and have enjoyed both.

I'd like to see us get to know him and his cronies a bit better by including them on raids and pvp runs and hopefully welcoming them into the guild if it's a good fit for both.

Stewy, ask the other fellas that you mentioned to stop by and introduce themselves as well.

But...who is bobdoe and abedoe? Those character names? What class/lvls? Need a bit more information than that for me to feel comfortable with things that's for sure.

so if a member of Purge or BBB organizes a raid and fills in some missing spots ( doesnt happen often, but it does happen) some night with some of the still existing members of inphase, are you guys still compatible players with them?

Glad that you stopped by, Stewy, Bobdoe, and Abedoe, and i'm glad you have taken an interest in our guild. Always nice to meet new people.

How should you go about joining The Purge? Well, you're off to a good start. You've posted and introduced yourself. Next, read the thread that is stickied in the APPLICATIONS section. That will give you some extra info about us.

There are a few other things you should know about The Purge as well, so i'll fill you in and we can continue from there.

1. We have two allied guilds, <Big Bad Baddies> and <HLEP>. Treat them as you would any member of the Purge, with respect and generosity. All three of us raid together, hang out a lot, and generally talk about "the good old days" in our shared chat channels/Teamspeak. Most of us have gamed together for a few years, starting with the Vallon Zek server in Everquest and continuing from there. Thus, there is a history we share with one another. I tend to think of us as one large guild with three separate guildtags. Maybe not the most accurate depiction, but close.

If you treat any member of BBB or HLEP rudely or in a manner we see as inappropriate, rest assured it will come back to haunt you. Just be friendly, and everything will be a-okay. Which leads me to...

2. BE FRIENDLY! Caustic personalities and rude behavior is a sure-fire way to have your application hit the trashpile with a quickness. Everybody has their bad days, of course, but people with constant bad attitudes and abusive personalities aren't going to last long in here. Guildchat is drama-free, and so is teamspeak. We aim to keep it that way.

3. PvP-oriented guild--is it for you? Yes, we do Molten Core and other high-level raids, but we are predominantly a pvp-based guild. If you are looking to beat down the walls of Onyxia's Lair on a daily basis, you won't be happy here. Many of our members are older guys-n-gals with families, jobs, and a 401K plan, and who log on just to pvp and hang out in guildchat before logging. They don't have the time nor the desire to do high-level instances and encounters.

This is not to say that we don't raid. Quite the opposite. It's just that many times, we forego a lot of PvE stuff to engage in pvp. If this is your cup of tea, you'll probably make a good applicant.

4. Be patient. It takes a while to get into <The Purge>. Expecting an overnight invite into the Purge is a pipe dream if we don't know you. Therefore, it is a must that you seek us out and get to know us rather well. Applicants have waited anywhere from 4 or 5 days to two weeks or more before an invite has come their way. Again, the more you get to know us, the faster we can move the application process along.

Those are the big four. Send me a tell in-game and we can chat sometime, or simply group up with a few guildies and go from there.

Good luck!

Over the course of the last few days I have spoken with Stewy and some others. We have since solved and bypassed our outstanding issues and are going strong. We have taken some of our ex-members back in and are one unit now: iNPhase. As mentioned before on these boards, iNPhase is still interested in teaming up with The Purge, HLEP, and BBB in instancing and in pvp. I have spoken with several members regarding the possibility of an alliance, and the possibility of future raids. These members include, but are not limited to: Tokin, Skaag, Cinderkitten, and Kagomechan. iNPhase looks forward to building good relations with the formal alliance of these boards and hold you in high regard. Please stay in touch.
