Is a new show on NBC. It comes on on Sunday nights. Apparently one of the creators of Heroes is the creator for it. Kings is modern day reinterpretation of the story of King Saul and David before he was king. It has a lot of long winded speeches, but I actual enjoy all the talking. The show looks gorgeous in hi def btw. They also appear to have fleshed out the story by adding Shakespearean elements to it. God of course plays a major indirect role in the show since this is a reinterpretation of an old testament story.
I really like this show. They have had 3 episodes so far. First two episodes were shown back to back to start the series off.
A-LA-BA-MA MAN!
HE'S QUICK, HE'S STRONG, HE'S ACTIVE!
You can take Alabama Man to the bowling alley, where he drinks heavily and chews tobacco!
HE CAN BOWL, HE CAN DRINK, HE CAN DRINK SOME MORE, ALA-BA-MA-MAN!
When wife asks him where he's been, just use the action button and Alabama Man busts her lip open!
"Shut up, Bitch!"
"Wow!"
BEATS HIS WIFE AND SLEEPS IT OFF, A-LA-BA-MA MAN!

I was thinking about watching this since I have 0 shows left besides lost. I guess I'll give it a shot.
"Hamilton is really a Colossus to the anti republican party. Without numbers he is an host within himself. They have got themselves into a defile where they might be finished but too much security on the republican part will give time to his talents and indefatigableness to extricate them. We have had only middling performances to oppose to him. In truth when he comes forward there is nobody but yourself who can meet him. His adversaries having begun the attack he has the advantage of answering them and remains unanswered himself. For God's sake take up your pen and give a fundamental reply to Curtius and Camillas" - Thomas Jefferson to James Madison

Yea the previews looked interesting. Did see the first 3. Ill probably wait for the DVD's to come out though.
As for Deadwood, I so wish they would have kept that show going. It was great.
Another great one was Carnival.

I was so disappointed when they cancelled Carnival. There were some amazing episodes in that series, and then to leave it with uber evil guy alive after all that, man there was so much more story to get to.

There were supposed to be 3 'acts' to the story and the first 2 seasons were just the first one.. That was a great show.
Haha its funny to see this weeks Lost, it had E.B. from Deadwood in it.

Was there ever a book written on the other 2 acts for carnival? Or was it just the story line concept.
Never understood why HBO caned those 2 shows. I thought they loved critical acclaim. I guess they are just rating whores like the rest of them.

The creators released alot of info on how the mythology works and what they were planning. There were rumors of a mini series to tie stuff up but it never materalized.
The show was too expensive for HBO, i think it was something like 3 mil an episode.

I swear you should have starred in Deadwood Skelas. Verbally I think you'd have been fucking perfect.
But I watched kings, and I thought it was ok. Truthfully I think Ian makes the show, I'd watch just about anythign with him acting in it.
