Bungie will always be heroic to me for making MAC ports for their games.

last one was pretty gay though.
I enjoyed the resource gather and random maps, but the calvary spam was kinda stupid.
AoM was RTS uptopia, heck I may even reinstall it.
Yea, I bought AoE III and I couldn't get into it. I did enjoy AoM, couldn't you use Gods as special attacks?
I reinstalled over the weekend and proceeded to get my ass handed to me on several occassions. I was surprised to see that the online is still working great. Not a ton of games, but I didnt have to wait very long at all.
Yes you select your major god, which determines which minor gods you can select each time you go into a new ERA.
Fuc en Hades dude opened up an underworld portal right at my Town Center and send in like 50 heavy calavary and massacred my poor villagers.

I voted for BFME II.
Did any of you people who voted for StarCraft played BFME II? I'm just curious if you played it and still thought StarCraft was better, or if you simply never played BFME II.
I was actually split between Age of Mythology and BFME II but in the end, I think the trample damage and the directional formations took the cake.
Disclaimer: I've never played C&C or TA

It was on Sega. Early 90's.
When it was republished on PC in like 2000, I ran out and bought it, and was completely disappointing to find that it was the EXACT SAME GAME"
Still fun...
Dune 2000 was a completely different game. It was ok... but not great. I don't remember Dune II being available on consoles... i only ever played it on the PC. Dune II is essentially the grand daddy of all RTS's and as such deserves major props. Westwood started it all with that game.

I went with Starcraft simply because I can't remember any other RTS that I put anywhere near as many hours into with friends or single player. We had some EPIC Starcraft games at my apartment/house back in the day... The memories of smack talk and strategy sessions with teammates during those games are some of my favorite of all my gaming moments.
Dune 2 was a tempting choice as well... There was a long stretch of time back in the day when Dune 2 was pretty much all I would play, not that there were tons of other choices at that point

Sadly a lot of this is tainted by personal experience and order of exposure. I have to admit that my choice is 99% based on what I had available to me and the game's position in the chronology of my gaming experience. I bought starcraft way after its heyday and just couldn't get into the game whatsoever. Perhaps if I had played it when it was released and had exposure to the BNET community at the same time my choices would be radically different. So yeah Myth was awesome but not based on some set of objective criteria. It was awesome because it was a seminal game in my personal investment in computer gaming.

From the "official site.

At this point, it's too early to provide an estimate of the release date. As with all Blizzard games, we will take as much time as needed to ensure the game is as fun, balanced, and polished as possible.

Knowing Blizz, it will be quite awhile but it will be worth it. Compared to many other companies Blizz usually has solid releases, tis what we get for the extra wait.

BFME2 was probably the better game, but I voted for Starcraft because I played it so much at LAN parties.

I need to pick up BFME2 again. I bought it and played for a bit, but then golf season came.

The only thing I don't like about BFME2 is no support for wide screen resolutions. Fail!
