After 2 years with my my Braun 360 it finally just pooched
died.. no longer works..
Soo I know many of you young'ns still have not yet had to trim yer peach grown around yer chin, but I figured there might be a couple of you out there that might recommend a decent Electric Shaver out there before I start to look like one of the Waltons! (if you don't know who the Waltons are yer probably too young to shave!!)
Anyhow any input would be appreciated !! 4 hours and already have a damn shadow!

I shave in the shower. Panasonic doesn't make the one I use anymore, but it's vaguely similar to this one:

Those things are scary but I've thought about using them, but I don't know if I would be able to shave with that thing. I shave with a mach 3 in the shower using my patented no look technique. Very rarely do I ever shave in front of a mirror.
I have friend who shaves with a straight edge. He says that nothing in the world will wake you up nice and alert like shaving with a straight edge.

I have a Braun 8585 I bought like 3-4 years ago. That's their "self cleaning" line and you have to buy the cleaning cartridges which is a bit like paying monthly upkeep but I can order them through Amazon and they work great and it appeals to my laziness. I never clean the thing, I just stick it in the charging stand and it cleans itself. I also like it because if I go on a trip, I can leave the base at home and plug the power cord directly into the shaver to recharge it (but then I have to clean it myself).
Prior to that I had a Norelco Advantage (with optional goo!) which I liked a lot. In fact, if they have a self cleaning Norelco Advantage (with optional goo!) I would totally buy one.
The only electric I've had that I didn't like was a Remington of some sort.
And yeah, I will totally go with electric shavers over any kind of blade. I'm just lazy, and a self-cleaning electric razor is as lazy as you can get.

I cant do electrics any more.
I use the Mach 3 as well. I was a double edge for a long time and laughed the mach 3 and then my wife picked up the wrong razors so I tried it. To say I was amazed at the difference would be a understatement. Been using them ever since.

Every electric I've ever tried didn't seem to work well.
Either it just didn't give a good shave, or hairs would I assume get caught somehow and it felt like they were being ripped out rather than cut.
I would love to have the convenience of one but I stopped trying them after a while.

Mach 3 here. Wish they would standardized the shit though so that all blades fitted on every handle.

Yea, its all about marketing. It would have been simple to put the double blade and then the mach 3 on the same handle, but look at how much revenue they would have lost by not forcing you to buy a new handle.

I've shaved with a straight edge before. It's a really great shave once you get used to it, the problem is I just don't have 30 minutes in the morning to spend on my face.

I use the mach 3 as well. Since I have a goatee, I use a mirror. 5 minutes at max.
